(Reality Shifted) OOC: Permissions Meme
(Note: Trans_9 people can also pretty much work with these too!)
★ First Impressions
☆ VISUAL: Not super tall, around 5'7 or 5'8" or so. Brown hair cut in the mop-top style, brown eyes. Almost always wearing a red kilt combined with turtlenecks or a collared shirt with a neckerchief. Occasionally has a rough-looking sheepskin vest over that.*
☆ AURAL: Strong Scottish accent, with a slight tendency to pronounce the word 'you' so it sounds like 'ye'. Occasionally stammers when nervous.
☆ OLFACTORY: Closer to modern standards of cleanliness than that of his time, general soap/shampoo smell with very very faint hints of an animal musk underneath.*
☆ DEMEANOUR: Comes across as generally well-meaning, although easily confused and tends to ask a lot of questions. Has a dry sense of humor, but can occasionally be a touch sarcastic, too. Very, very prone to making slightly annoyed faces but doesn't actually stay annoyed for long. Perhaps a wee bit headstrong.
★ IC Permissions
☆ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Jamie is quite fond of physical contact, from pulling and prodding to hugging and hand holding (although the latter is generally more with just the girls) so affection is absolutely fine.
☆ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Touching/grabbing/throwing a punch is fine, but serious fighting/maiming/killing attempts I would prefer to get a heads up OOC first.
☆ RELATIONSHIPS: Certainly a possibility, especially over time. Note: If he develops strong feelings, he tends not to say so directly. However, there may be a marked increase in his protectiveness and demonstrations of affection. Also likely to be open to more casual relationships, once he actually figures out it's an option.
☆ PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Jamie has no psychic defenses to speak of, and has had his memories altered in the past. This may be evident if being actively looked for. He does also have a danger sense which has been defined in some systems as a psychic power so mentioning it here. Details are below.
☆ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Jamie is as magically gifted as your average rock. That is to say, not at all.
☆ MEDICAL INFORMATION: Jamie is your typical young man in his early twenties - quite healthy with no outward ailments at all whatsoever. However, he is sensitive to certain toxic gases, which cause him to sneeze, and has had nanobot-assisted alterations to change his appearance and to heal previously inflicted wounds.**
☆ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS:Different things will cause different reactions, obviously, but there's nothing that you absolutely need to stay away from.
★ OOC Permissions
☆ BACKTAGGING: I love backtagging for as long as is needed, even with large gaps of time passing between replies. So that'd be a big yes there.
☆ THREADHOPPING: Sure, unless I've got something up OOC asking that you PM first.
☆ FOURTHWALLING: If you really want to, sure. Jamie will be confused, though. Okay, not like that's anything new for him, but he will be. :)
☆ DO NOT WANT: I'm willing to go with most things, but do not want to be in a situation where the character is irrevocably broken and no longer playable. And since I am occasionally an idiot, if something is going to happen that will do that, PLEASE let me know OOCly.
☆ ANYTHING ELSE? Jamie is quite good at hand to hand and sword fighting, and has some knowledge of guns (although things like laser guns can be tricky). Jamie also has a danger sense, which primarily manifests as a bad feeling about something. Sometimes it will get strong enough that he may be able to dodge or avoid a blow, but this does not happen all the time. Basically, he's not going to be able to avoid everything, or even close to everything - but once in awhile he can, say, drop and avoid being shot in the back by a Redcoat.
(*Note: Outfit/olfactory description are for RS. Trans_9 has the kilt worn over the plantsuit and whatever the heck smell you wind up with living in a giant, humid, organic spaceship. Update 3/30 for T9: Jamie now occasionally smells like mint, but only when wearing the sporran. Actually, it's more accurate to say the sporran smells like mint, but feel free to assume it's the other way around.)
