I glad they started with LWW rather than The Magician's Nephew because that's the order in which C. S. Lewis wrote. Yeah, The Magician's Nephew starts the story, but I think it's one of the weaker books. I mean, the only reason I cared how Narnia started was because I'd read all about it in the other books. Part of the beauty of LWW is the random magical wardrobe, the random lampost in the middle of the forest. Part of the beauty of the Magician Nephew is that it wraps up every loose end.
I absolutely agree with you about the Christian symbolism. I read the Chronicles back when I hardly knew what a symbol was and I miss reading the books with that innocent mindset.
I'm pumped that the voice of Aslan is Liam Neesam. :o)
