Music publishers seek stringent punishment for websites disclosing lyrics
"US music publishers are calling for the imprisonment of owners of websites that contain song lyrics, guitar tabs and musical scores... MPA president Lauren Keise said: 'throw in some jail time I think we'll be a little more effective'."

The thing is, I can understand the logic behind the case against mass distribution of recorded music, but lyrics and tabs? What's arresting cover bands and people doing karaoke for impersonation?

The Onion did a brief last week on them banning "mentioning songs to other people," and I laughed because it seemed absurd, then...
