Writing Meme

Jun 30, 2011 13:57

Everyone, I'm back from my hiatus and back at home after my year abroad. I have the summer off now which means more time for fandom and maybe more writing, depending on whether I start getting ideas again or not. I thought I should do a meme in this post to have something to talk about. I chose to steal a writing meme from rubyls in the hopes that it ( Read more... )

Of course I do! I ninja stalked your Kyuhae vampire story and only left my first comment in like the third or fourth chapter. >.< And then we talked a lot about fandom and your family and school and such. :DDD So, how's life been for you? You should be in college by now, so did you get your dream school? What're you doing? :D

The year was... exciting and very interesting, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. :) I loved the school and the people I met, I learned so many things, I grew as a person - and it made me want to go abroad again. ^^ It was really a wonderful experience!

Ooooh, do it! :D I love reading other people's memes, it's interesting! I think i had to remind myself a little. ^^'' These days, there doesn't seem to be a lot of fic and since Donghae is busy filming his drama, there aren't even any new pics. Not a good situation, especially for a rare pairing. I'm happy it reminded you too! :D

Yay! :D You remember!! JK.. And that reminds me I must work on my update.. Life's been good, and yes I DID get into my dream school! XDD *grinning insanely here* The first semester is still.. relaxed so far, and I'm so glad I read this during my break. :) My course has something to do with computers video games for projects!! kpop video games? =)) and management so yeah..

That's so cool! :D Here, there's a junior term abroad for students in junior year, and you get to go to one of their affiliate schools in any country, but they offer it to the really smart people so.. gets ready for long-term studying.. haha..

I'ma start it now then. :D I know, but did you see their new cf together? The one with the Thai model? and yeah.. it makes you wanna wish you were the girl

^^ Oooh, you're working on another chapter, nice!! :D And congratulations, bb, that's great news! ♥ It sounds as if you're really liking it, too. Can I be obnoxious and ask when your semesters end and start and such? And wow, your program sounds really interesting but also like it's going to be tough, but you can do it, you're disciplined ( ... )

Well yeah, a new idea for it. I had to remember what was going on though.. it's been almost a year. *sweatdrops* Thanks! <3 My first semester is from June to October while the second one is from November to March. The only downside is that my course automatically has summer classes, so summer will be about.. two and a half weeks for me. :( Oh well,.. I should enjoy it when I can. :D Thank you for that, really. :)

We get to take foreign languages as a subject, which is mandatory. We get to choose which language to take. One of the clubs I joined has language programs so I'll start there..

Okay.. :D True. Ah yes, the power of KyuHae: No girl can come in between.. =)) Happy Bubble anyone? :D They manage to pull off looking adorable while jumbling up their Thai <3 I'm not really sure..

I honestly would feel the same way if it was one of my stories, my memory for writing is horrible. ^^'' Sometimes I go back to old stuff and I can almost read it like a brand-new story because I entirely forgot what I had written, lol. Wow, those are strange semester dates, interesting! I've only ever heard about Sep/Oct-Dec/Jan and Feb/Mar-May/Jun ones. But I guess with the different ways seasons work for our places, the respective systems make sense. :D ( ... )

Oh.. I get that way sometimes.. :D But when I go back to my stories from like, 6th grade, I go "0_0 What is this, it's not me!" Yeah probably, our summers are from the last week of March to first week of June, it probably has something to do with location..

After freshman year, the summer classes for my course are.. Science (we get to choose), Science Lab, and Anthropology.. I like Chemistry the best though, which is what I'm taking now...

Oh, I forgot to mention that the language classes will only be available either second year or third year.. ^_^J Yeah.. I sort of get that..

We have loads of Eunhae shippers. -_- And not enough Kyuhae ones. :( I KNOW, RIGHT?? Whenever they have a cf together, it's like everything else goes.. "I'm sorry, I didn't notice."

And... I finished the meme! =)) Posted it too.. whew..

Lol, oh dear, yes! I can't go too far back either, that's usually an embarrassing experience and I go ahead and start criticizing myself for all the blunders I did back in the day. Good thing is that you realize you progressed? ^^ I guess it's because seasons in the Southern Hemisphere and Europe are about exactly opposite and people never really approve of sending kids to school in the hottest time of the year. I wish they would have second thoughts about the coldest time as well. >.I'm really impressed by people who are into science! I find it incredibly interesting and so, so useful but I just can't. Never really could. I had my phase of bio love in school when we did genetics but I couldn't bring myself to study it because of the lab aspects. I'm more of a theoretical kind of person. It's great that you're liking it! :D How do you like anthropology so far ( ... )

so, at the risk of looking a bit stalkerish i'm just going to randomly comment on one of your entries. i found your journal through a kyuhae community and read all your fics yesterday (each one of them amazing omg, you have no idea how much trouble i have finding well written fics in this fandom) and then i read this post and now i want to ask some questions, if you don't mind answering ( ... )

I stalk people's journals all the time, you're safe. I should stop telling everyone that... I'm just really happy people still find and read my fics such a long time after they've been published. And omg, thank you so much, you're making me all smiley-faced here! ^^ Sure, ask away.

I'll try! I'm insanely disorganized with fic bookmarks and/or memories so I'll do my best. I'll either make it a public journal post or I'll post another answer to this comment, depending on how successful I am with remembering fics and organizing stuff in my head. ^^'

Oh, you started writing?! That's wonderful, there can never be enough fanfic writers out there. :) I do reread my fic, in part because I don't have a beta reader and that's one way of getting rid of most of my grammar and/or spelling mistakes, and also because it gives me a chance to smooth over bad transitions or work out jumbled up parts where I lost patience and wrote whatever dialogue. >.< While going over the fic again is useful, I understand why you have trouble with it - I'm not ( ... )

Okay, let's do this again without the html fail.

So. I decided to make my next journal post about something different, which is why you get your recs here. :) I really enjoyed revisiting some of the stuff I read ages ago. Also, I realized that when I enjoy one author's story, I usually go ahead and see what else they've written, sometimes regardless of pairings, so I hope it's okay for you if I rec you to authors whose fics I've enjoyed immensely and don't point to select fics.

Let's start with Kyuhae (although finding the good stuff is easy because of the Kyuhae fic comm. The authorities for this pairing are elliebear128, hyungdeul and skipturnstep/naransaram. Especially the latter's creep right under your skin. I also bet you know wineandpencils's Howl, which is one of the best supernatural fics I know.

I'm not very much into QMi, but I know that these authors are absolutely wonderful, so take a look if you're interested: cascades, skipturnstep/naransaram, coley_merrin.

The fandom godesses you should take a look at even though Kyuhyun is often not their main focus: thundersquall, catskilt (she is amazing, and meiface (I worship and admire her to no end ( ... )

i will still forever be impressed at your ability to read completely-out-there pairings, shindong/donghae WHAT. i could never, it would scar my eyes ;~; i hope your kyuhae is coming along great!

Lol. I'm pretty sure it's often more of a deep flaw than an ability. Ability sounds so nice. >.< I have too often traumatized myself with it. Then again, you also find awesome stuff you'd never get to see otherwise. :D And Shindong/Donghae... that was the ultimate exception. Never again will I do sth like that, ever.

... not really. .__. Things were crazy here so I didn't get to write and then I got knocked in the head by a wooden plank and had an epiphany about the Kyuhyuk I promised you so I think that'll be the next thing I'll focus on. Yeah. I hope you're okay with an AU?

IT IS AN ABILITY, trust me. but i'm also the kind that i can't read stuff i don't ship, so that'd never happen to me, lol.

O.O omg i hope you're alright! did the wooden plank do anything? >:( YAY ABOUT THE KYUHYUK, because i'm okay with anything :D really :D

You should start! :D Although - stay away from that Yesung/Ryeowook/Shindong fic I read the other day, I still can't get over that. It was R rated. (Why do I do this to myself?)

I'm alright, didn't even get a bump or a headache. :) I just had to lay down and put on some ice for the night and then I was fine. And good. :DDD
