Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Kaname is 166cm (5'5") and 50 kg (110 lbs). She is still magically surprisingly voluptuous with an athletic build because of her love of sports.
2. How old is she?
Sixteen!
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
Both? She carries herself well and has good posture, but she's very expressive and never hesitates to slouch if it fits her mood.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
In her own world she's pretty healthy. She does get sick on occasion, but overall she's a healthy person and is exceptionally fit.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
This also depends on her mood. She is very agile and can move in very graceful or fluid movements, but if she's ticked off she'll rigidly stomp around.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
She's considered pretty darn attractive. In fact, she was voted the number one idol (that you don't want to date- she can get scary when she's angry, after all) at her school. She doesn't consider herself exceptionally pretty, but instead thinks of herself as a normal-looking girl.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
She has a pretty pale and creamy complexion.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
She has long silky-straight cyan hair that falls right below her butt. She likes to gather the end together with a red bow, which matches the bow of her school uniform.
9. What color are her eyes?
Chestnut.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Her crazy expressions.
11. What are her chief tension centers?
Her entire body really.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
She came to Discedo in her school uniform, which is complete with a white, button-up dress shirt, a short pleated turquoise skirt and a plush red bow tie. She tended to veer toward a cute tomboy look (I bet she'd shop at Abercrombie) outside of school, but who knows what she'll find here to wear.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
Her clothes fit her near-perfectly. Being comfortable is one of the most important requirements of her clothing since she's such an active person.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
This was covered in 12.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
She actually doesn't sound like a teenager. When she's not yelling, her voice is very pleasing to the ears. Her tones are subdued and speaks smoothly.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
She speaks smoothly at a normal speed. She'll hesitate or possibly even stutter depending on her mood, but normally she speaks easily.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Not that I've noticed.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
Her first language is Japanese. Her second is English, which she has a pretty good handle on solely because she lived in America. Language in general is not, however, her strong point.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
She'll speak Japanese whenever she's able to. In Discedo, she's had to use English a lot more frequently than she used to.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
She often doesn't think much about her words, especially when she's flying off the handle.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
She has a pretty typical way of speaking. She'll get what she wants to say across, but it isn't necessarily in an eloquent manner (far from it when she's irritated).
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?
Because of her Whispered abilities, her strong points are in subjects like science and engineering. Aside from anything Whispered-related, however, she's an average student. Also, with living on her own since middle school, Kaname is pretty street smart for a sixteen year old.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?
She thinks on her feet.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
She has a mix of logic and intuition, which can be largely affected by her underlying Whispered. She is a pretty practical person.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
She has gone through the typical education system. Her high school career is still unfinished, though.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
Science and Engineering are her academic areas of expertise. She is also very active in sports, specifically softball. Since her arrival in Discedo, she has become interested in studying singing - an activity that brings a welcome feeling of her life back in Japan, as well as training in medical care, which she hopes to put to use in aiding Discedo residents.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
EXTROVERT.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
She allows herself the joy of experiencing every range of emotion and expressing it to the fullest extent. Overall, she's typically a cheerful person, who is remarkably driven.
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
All of those (... well... timidness is less common, but not unheard of).
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?
She'll act first if she can help it.
10. Which is her default: fight or flight?
Fight (unless she knows fleeing would be more beneficial).
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
She does appreciate jokes and pranks that aren't mean-spirited.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?
Well... she DOES hear voices in her head, but that's just her Whispered. Still, since she doesn't fully understand her situation, she doesn't talk about it.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?
Her mother's death and her subsequent decision to live on her own from a young age have provided her with a die-hard attitude during times of hardship. Also, she doesn't realize it yet, but her experience of having her Whispered revealed to her during her kidnapping will lead her to discover the other self that she carries inside.
14. What does she fear?
Kidnapping, monsters and being experimented on aside? She fears losing those for whom she cares.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations?
She just wants a normal life and that is never gonna happen lol.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
She doesn't want people to find out about her Whispered voices. If she ever tells someone this, it is a sign of immense trust.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.
Kaname was very close to her mother, who passed away three years ago. Her father lives in New York, working as the United Nations' Environmental High Commissioner. She does not have an especially close relationship with her father, which probably aided in her decision to move to Japan and live by herself. Still, Kaname is a very understanding person. So, she holds no ill will toward her father and makes sure to keep in touch through phone calls.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
She has an eleven year old sister named Ayame. They do keep in touch with phone calls, but Kaname wishes that they could share a closer relationship.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
There isn't anyone she's significantly close to aside from her father and sister, but even those relationships are still distanced. She has generally been ignored by her family because of her parents' past actions (eloping). So, there isn't any blood relative whom she can't tolerate.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?
No one she considers family. Maybe Bonta-kun...
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Kyoko Tokiwa is Kaname's camera-wielding best friend back in Japan. They seem to have met in school.
6. Does she have other close friends?
Sagara Sousuke.
7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?
Well, she can make friends easily, but she also has trouble getting along peacefully with people at times.
8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?
Well, she doesn't really have much family around for her now. That aside, it's probably family and those she would consider family.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?
She is single. She's never even been in a relationship.
10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
Nope.
11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?
Her first crush was an upper classman in junior high, Fuwa. Her latest was Sagara Sousuke, though that was still in development.
12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?
Dependability.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?
She doesn't have any. Someday she wants them, but not at sixteen.
14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?
Countless terrorist organizations. Gauron, specifically, is the terrorist that kidnapped her right before she ended up in Discedo.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?
Right now she's straight lol.
16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?
She's still more involved in thinking about having her first kiss.
17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
Turn-ons sex-wise? I have no clue. Sousuke would always win brownie points when saving her, though. Turn-offs would be creepy people. Weird bedroom habits? She used an alarm clock that looked like Pen-Pen, but I don't really think that counts.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?
She's a Capricorn and she fits that pretty well (heck "capricious" does suit her and her mood-swings lol). She's also a year of the Rat, which also fits her really well.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?
I don't believe she is particularly...
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
She will always stand up for people and is never passive if she sees anyone get bullied or harassed. While she may have always been like this, these ethics were firmly established after being mercilessly bullied in junior high school. She'd really have to be near her breaking point to purposefully try and hurt someone emotionally.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
She's curious more than anything else.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
She's starting to hate scientists... :P
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
She's comfortable.
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?
If she were living with her father, it might be upper-middle class, but since she lives alone it's settled her into middle class. Living alone, however, also brought on bullying from her peers.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
She lives in an apartment by herself, which is in good condition, and it's like a home to her.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Bonta-kun merchandise?
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
She enjoyed being an active high school student.
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?
She was on the girls' softball club at school. Also, she loves old movies.
7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
I did find a random picture of her drinking alcohol... She tries to be good about eating healthy and not skipping out on meals.
