Yup, that must be why I was up at 5:30 this morning reading lj.

Yay! Time to build up your stock for the huckster table at Minicon!

(Though I just realized I'll have to shut my half down for a half hour on Saturday between 4:30-5, while I do a music set in the performance space markiv1111 is running. I can't ask cari_rose to mind my goods for a while cuz I want her at the show.) (I'd like you to be there, too, but wouldn't want to shut down our whole table.)

I guess I'll have to miss your performance, but at least I can watch the table for you. I'm glad Riverfolk are scheduled for night time performances.

Thanks! Yes; I should have thought of asking for a later slot; I'm unaccustomed to having a huckster table. I'm not even sure how late the huckster room stays open.

It's good to be home, but I'm sore tonight from raking. I think they called me back to work at the perfect time. From the end of January through March is when I usually come down with cabin fever. Now I'm off, and the weather is lovely!

Happy re-retirement! Now you can rail against the whippersnappers who only have one retirement.

Going back to work for a couple of months has really got me appreciating being retired again, I had started taking it for granted.

I really don't think of you retired...I thought this adventure as taking a break from being self-employed. ;-)

To be considered self-employed I believe that you need to have some sort of income coming in. I barely make enough selling my crafts to pay for new materials. I suppose it would help if I limited myself to one (or even a dozen) crafts at a time.

You can still take the craft materials off your taxes, if you're selling the finished works. You will need to show a profit one year out of three, or somesuch. Ask a tax accountant, it might be worth it.
