Just came out of Concrete Revolution, a fantastic documentary film by Guo Xiaolu about the ever-changing face of Beijing, the migrant construction workers that make it happen, and going home...
I can relate to your confusion. I never really feel like Russia is my home, but then neither is here. The constant moving probably doesn't help, heh. "Going home is traveling in time as well as space" That's very true. Going back somewhere always brings up memories...
Sigh. What's that cliched phrase...home is where the heart is. Guess we need to figure out the heart part, and then we'll know the home part. :D
Miss you too! Maybe I could call you with my Skype thing sometime? What's the best number/time?
I try to follow the heart, hoping that it would lead me home... but usually it leads me to (mis)adventures in Italy and strange, fuckwit guys... (sorry, it's a sorespot today, as you can see from my latest post)
