A lot of posts lately on exams, uni apps, CVs...
For what it's worth, some thoughts:

The most important thing to ask yourself NOW is why you want to go to uni and why you want to study your course.
I seriously considered dropping out (nearly did - even got all the forms/information and stuff in gear) over this last semester.  In the end, it was my ( Read more... )

For me, I'm going to university because I think studying literature is fun. Imagine that! But there is that other reason, and that is, I haven't got a clue what I would do otherwise. I don't know what I want to do in the future, and so uni is simply a measure of delaying joining the reality of the rat race ( ... )

I know what you mean ... in the grand scheme of things, your education is a lot less important than everyone makes it out to be. I've found so many things over the last year that are a lot more significant in my life, and it's made me realise how unnecessary academia can be.

But I s'pose that's why I want to do Theology at Cambridge. I want to do Theology because it's an academic subject that actually feels important to me, and the opportunity to study it in the way they do at Cambridge would genuinely excite me. I don't care what degree I get out of it, or whether people are impressed by the fact that I studied at Cambridge ... I went to the open day there and the whole thing appealed to me so much, I know I'd love it.

I think if you are going into higher education, it's really important to be doing something that means a lot to you. Otherwise you won't have the motivation to keep going.
