School, roommates, and life

Well, I'm officially all settled in to my apartment.

My roommates are all nice. And I think we'll get along well enough. I've been able to bond a bit with Allison, she's very nice, and we've chatted, and I've had some really great talks with Leyla, we're kinda on the same wave, both very layed back, but ready to do something with our lives. She's 24 as well, and so we have that age bond thing. And we have a lot of the same ideas, both coming from religious families but not big practicers ourselves. We're also both in business, well she's in Accounting, but it's been a good time.
Our dishwasher is broken, and so I've been using the same dishes over and over, just washing them and putting them away after I finish with them. But Leyla and Allison have been cooking like normal, but they don't wash their dishes. It's actually really gross, and I'm not going to clean them up, they arn't mine. But man does our sink STINK! It's really gross because the dishes have water in them, and they are just sitting there in their grossness. It's been accumulating for the last couple of days, and now when I go near the sink it makes me feel ill. But I'm sorry, I'm not cleaning up someone else's stinky shit. That is not my job. So I tend to stick to my bathroom sink, get water there, stuff like that. :)
I kinda feel like crap today, my roommate Kimmie invited me out with her and her boyfriend last night, and as I don't have class till 2 today, I figured why not. It was a friend of her's 21st birthday, so we went over to were he's living. It was a rather interesting night, it was much more like a "college party" then I am used to. There was drinking, many rounds of flippy cup, which I found out I'm not half bad at, well assuming the line gets to me. They then decided to go to the bars after midnight, because that's when he officially turned 21. And I didn't go because I'm not paying a crazy big cover to get into a bar for like an hour. Okay, so it's not crazy big, but 5 bucks when they want you to buy alcohol, that they already over price. It just seems silly. So I sat around with Kimmie and Chris (her boyfriend) and some other guys, and we just talked and had a good time. I by this point, had cheated, and switched to water. :) They were all "hey! what's that?" but they were all really to drunk to care. It was actually a really great night, I got to talk to Chris a lot, he's very cool, and Kimmie is also super fun. There was bonding going on last night, and I think we're all much closer. Hehe, that sounds super weird, but really, it was fun to get to talk to Chris, he's got a really deep mind and it was neat to chat with him. I was not however a fan of the people getting high, I just think it's super stupid, but they didn't push it, and they stayed away from me, so I couldn't complain about that, I mean it's their lives, it's their choice. It was also good, because I was sober by the time we left the apartment and I drove us back, however Kimmie is quite short, and I couldn't get the seat to move, so I drove feeling very tall...it was funny, at least to me.

So yeah. That's life right now. It's not really exciting, but as I get to know my roommates better it should be interesting. I'm quite glad that we don't seem to clash right away.
