Last night my laptop crapped out. It still powers on, but it usually won't even get to the login screen before it locks up. Cavorite thinks that it's probably the memory, or the motherboard. I think I might still be under warranty, so I'll be checking that today. I'm borrowing Cavorite's laptop while he's at work. (Today's his first day at the new job! ( Read more... )

We did that through Cavorite's laptop. We also used the disk repair utility from Apple. My laptop got a little bit further after the disk repair, but locked up after about 2 minutes of being on.
