I downloaded Amanda Palmer's album a few weeks ago and thought of you. I haven't listened to it. I mostly just downloaded it for Steven, because he loves her and the Dresden Dolls.

Haha, I really like about half of it and don't care much for the other half. I just can't handle her slow songs, as they consist mainly of her just moaning off key to some very minimal piano -- but the other ones are quite lovely. Check out "Runs in the Family". I also recommend "No Virginia" which is an album just released by the Dresden Dolls that has tracks on it from Yes Virginia that didn't make the cd. It's actually quite good.

Haha! Yeah, I listened to about half of a song on the album and it really was just her moaning to a piano. Oh yeah, I've heard of No Virginia. I thought it was clever how they named it that. I only know a few Dresden Dolls songs, mostly the ones you showed me a long time ago. Remember how I thought that Amanda Palmer was a guy for a long time? Haha!

One of the songs on her solo album is about getting an abortion ("Oasis"--it's really funny) and when I was playing it in the car Luke was like "that's a really different point of view, a guy singing about getting an abortion"...and it made me think of you. But i'm pretty sure she was a man at one point. hahaha!
