Mine was a little early too, and it's also much worse at night when I nurse him laying down. Bicycling his legs helps a bit, and rubbing his tummy. His ped told me to cut out onions, beans and garlic...but I really haven't noticed a difference. He just grunts all night :/

Yeah, I wonder if I'll just adjust to her sleeping habits instead of altering them. I need to sleep deeper!

You could keep a bottle of Mylicon/simethicone drops by the bed and give them to her right before or after a night feed. I did this with mine for the night feedings...

I personally use simethicone drops for my son (brand name Mylicon). There are no known side-effects (however, remember this doesn't mean that none might exist) and my son happens to be *extremely* gassy. I'm talking, I don't eat dairy, wheat, caffeine, or sugar (though the last three are new eliminations), and still he gets gassy and spits up. A lot of the time in his case it seems to be that when he is over-stimulated, he gets an upset tummy instead of crying.

I recommend keeping a food diary and tracking "I ate this food at such-time and she had gas at this time", etc.
