Rebel 6 [Accidental Video | Action for Ilex Forest]

Oct 02, 2010 20:47

[The Pokegear kicks on accidentally as Litchi is trying to use it as a makeshift flashlight. There's a brief glimpse of the dark interior of Ilex Forest before the camera (and Litchi) turns in the direction of her Butterfree.]

Chinhou... I think we're going in circles. I don't see even the slightest trace of--

[Chinhou snaps to attention, antennae twitching in the direction of some wildly rustling leaves. Litchi is perfectly still for a moment, letting the light go out on the Pokegear so that it won't startle away whatever is in the bushes.

Which have gone still. Litchi gives a near-silent whisper of "Sleep Powder", which Chinhou obeys without hesitation. She flutters over to the bush, scattering spores from the scales on her wings--

--and nearly gets tackled out of the air by something flailing vines and growling. Litchi stumbles back a step, every ounce as shocked as her Butterfree.]

Ch-Chinhou! Are you alright?! You have to stop it before it can--

[Aaand now it's charging at her. Litchi falls into a defensive stance, taking the full brunt of a Vine Whip to one arm before Chinhou's Stun Spore is suddenly sprinkling down onto the attacking Pokemon. She staggers back and out of the range of her Butterfree's onslaught, turning on the Pokegear's light again for at least some sort of illumination.

The Bulbasaur's pupils shrink in the light before another vine snakes out and thwacks the Pokegear out of her hand. It lands a few feet away, the video feed completely losing track of everything going on, but the sound still being captured.]

Chinhou! Your Psybeam should do the trick! Try not to hurt it too much!

[The Bulbasaur cries out in pain as the psychic attack lands. Litchi, desperate not only to calm the Pokemon but also heal its injuries, ignores the pain shooting through her arm in favor of throwing a very accurate Great Ball.

It thwacks the Bulbasaur neatly between the eyes.

One wobble. Litchi and Chinhou both go completely still, watching it carefully.

Two wobbles. The third wobble is a little more violent, trainer and Butterfree alike tensing in preparation for round two.

Fourth, weaker wobble.

The ball grows still.

Litchi drops to her knees in the grass with a heavy sigh, Chinhou fluttering over and settling before her worriedly.]

It's nothing, Chinhou. We can treat it in no time. As for this little one...

[She reaches out, picking up the Great Ball in one hand before lifting up her Pokegear in the other, once again using its weak glow to get a better look. The Pokegear picks up a soft mumble before it cuts out:]

...That certainly was a challenge...

za wheel of fate is turning, new capture!, litchi's godly luck strikes again
