Dearest Caromalina,
As of now, we're still not sure how tomorrow is going to work for Francisco. Our airport is closed today, but scheduled to reopen later tonight. The problem is flying into and out of Miami (both of which he will have to do), and we really just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow. If anything, the worst thing is his flight gets delayed till Friday or Saturday. Meh, not too bad.
As per your concerns for my safety - I am going to be totally fine, no worries. Everything on the island shut down earlier today and everyone went home to prepare for the worst, but the worst has not arrived. It seems that, although it has turned into a hurricane, it made a sharp swerve and is only posing a threat to the southwest of the island (I am in the southeast). So far, it's been gray and rainy, but that's it and that's all we are really expecting here in Kingston. I think it is going to be ok. Thanks for asking :)

oh hooray! that is *much* gooder news than if it were badder news. and while i assumed that your life was probably not in significant danger, knowing that your roof shall not be blown off is also some comfort. yay!
