Kūkaku Shiba was a woman on a mission. Stalking quietly through the hallways, she approached her target, Office #30, with soft steps, keeping to the shadows. She checked the office next to it first; if the Sergeant was in, the plan might be spoiled. The woman was incredibly adept at noticing things, almost as good as Holmes himself, but both offices were, to Kūkaku's pleasure, empty. She paused a moment to inspect the doorway, to see if any of her students had finally gotten around to booby trapping the thing, but, of course, they hadn't, the lazy bastards.
It made sneaking into the office easier for her, anyway, careful not to disturb anything except specifically what she was going for: the violin case. And with the rigged violin she'd picked up yesterday ready to go, she just simply switched them out, put the case back where she'd found it, and sneaked back out.
Sure, the odds that Sherlock didn't notice the bait and switch were very, very low. But it was just the fact that she did it. Knowing him to be teaching his class right now, Kūkaku whistled a little tune, giving the swiped violin a little spin until it was resting on her shoulder, and she ambled on toward her own office.
