hey Boof, sorry to hear your relationship ended. I hope you are doing ok. I concur with much of what you are saying. The moment I settled down with Darren, seems that most of the gay world didn't want a bar of me unless we were going to be a swinging couple. Over past almost two years I have seen the shallowness and deceit for what it is. Just a waste of time. I don't regret being naive.

The troubling thing is.. you don't even begin to entertain the thought that it may have something to do with you, happily going about your day blaming others. Generally those that have dropped off, have dropped off for a reason. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.. but in most cases... lonely.
What you say makes perfect sense. Sometime a 'spring clean' can be a good thing. Afterall it is the really the 'good' friends that count. The rest is just the 'passing parade'- fun sometimes, lousy at other times. All the best.

Pulling back and letting things settle out it a good option. Just don't stay out of action too long.
