I full heartedly believe that all humans should have the same right despite ethnic background , prefrences in partners , religion , what have you , all americans deserve the same rights. The gay community is saying that america has takin away their right .... ( Read more... )

p.s. I'm aware that gays have many of the same rights as we do - mainly except marraige and I believe they have the right to fight against the amendment and get their rights to marry who they love - as ashley says later - love is not based on gender love is love. And you can't help who you love! I wish people understood this. ( i think i may be contridicting myself in what i was trying to say in my entry and what im saying in here - im not meaning to - i still stick by what i said - and with the gays comparing the civil rights movement , in ways its the same principle but in no ways as bad ..... )

Okay.
well first:
No, they gay community never had the right to get married.. but that was bullshit in the first place and the fact that it was bullshit was seen and then they started to give those rights to gays, then They took them away again saying the gays should not have the right to get married. Bull shit.
Second:
I do not think that there should be an ammendment. i do not think bush should have the power to do that, he is a very close-minded ignorant man. and in my opinion, he should get the death penalty for 9/11, but thats a whole different story. Which is what they should be worring about right now by the way instead of gay marriage.. Safety of america. not so much love between 2 people.
Third: I do agree with you ( ... )

cassi and i joke about getting married, every once in a while. do i believe homo- and bisexuals deserve the right to marry? nein. a civil union, however would be nice. the whole god-thing, no. theres no need for them to get married under god, thats completely hypocritical and does not need to happen.

all i want, if i were to stay with cassi or anyone else thats of the female gender, in regards to this mess, are the majority of the same rights that are offered to heterosexual, married couples.

does that make sense? i guess im inbetween two thoughts. i like being in the middle. hah.

xox//moi.

postscript: i dont even know what you want to hear. heh. im sorry for going off on a tangent.

quite alright for your tangent.... i asked for your opinion .... thank you for giving it...... hehe the civil union is confusing to me its pretty much the same as a marraige licnese - can anyone explain the difference between the two.... besides the name..... I would appreciate it. and I think it's kinda funny that really no one has answered my question except mick a bit and ash a bit! oh well! hehe! thanks to all of you!

a civil union doesn't HAVE to be under god, and so on. it just means that you're with another person, and of course people say they're married, but really, is it possible for someone to technically be married if they weren't married under god because they're not religious?

oo oo. hah.
