I was reading my Chinese horoscope the other day. I was born in 1985, the year of the Ox. 2008 is the year of the Rat. Apparently, since it's an Earth year, the Earth drains the Ox's luck, so 2008 is only 52% favorable. Seems kinda goofy, seeing as how I'm not that huge on horoscopes, but it did seem to make sense.
