I agree Pandora's a terrific site. I mostly use my Sirius subscription now for trying to find new (or old-new) music to listen to, so I never really got into Pandora. It would be a shame for it to disappear, though.
The good thing about Pandora is they make it a point of finding these underexposed artists who haven't really made a name for themselves yet. Depending on the station, literally every other song I hear is someone I've never heard of before.
I suppose I could give satellite radio a shot if they do go under. My friends have it and the coffeehouse and jazz stations are top notch. Still bothers me though. One less venue is one less venue.
I haven't used Pandora in a long time, but this still chaps my ass. Reading the article, this could just be a case of who blinks first, but the RIAA has shown time and again that they are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face.
