1.
taehyung really likes the new cafe down the block. it's not that they have awesome coffee or delicious snacks or whatever (taehyung doesn't even like coffee to be honest), but they have a beautiful boy cashier.
taehyung would go there everyday around three in the afternoon. he would go in and there would be no lines (because seriously there's a starbuck literally five feet away and that's just everyone's favorite anyways) and he would stand in front of the menu and stare stupidly, because he doesn't even drink coffee. the cashier would smile at him (jimin, his nametage said) and taehyung would always start off the sentence with: "can i get a, um." and jimin would smile a little brighter.

"you are such a loyal customer." jimin said one day, while handing taehyung his drink (he thinks it's some sort of peppermint latte or something, he doesn't really remember what he said). taehyung swallowed, because holy god, jimin just talked to him.
"well you know," he mumbled, hands gripping tightly on the cup and winced slightly as it burned his fingers. "i like this cafe."
"cute." jimin smiled that bright smile, and said. "i'm jimin by the way."
taehyung doesn't remember the rest of the day.

after that day, they would exchange little conversations. words like "how are you?" or "i'd recommend this" or even "hey, i like your shoes".
taehyung thinks this is progress, albeit a little slow, but whatever, it's progress anyways.
one week after, taehyung already knows jimin's favorite color, food, and brand of clothes (he looked up the brand online, and he thinks he can buy him a jacket for his birthday, it's october 13th by the way). taehyung also knows that jimin is usually the only worker because no one really comes here anyways, and so jimin is always incharged of the opening and closing of the cafe. he also knows that jimin would sneak out of the cafe after turning the opening sign to closing during the day to have a long long break (but never in the afternoon, because taehyung's always there).
taehyung thinks it would be nice if jimin also knows something about taehyung (like how his favorite color is black and white, and that he really like lions and meat, and that park jimin is his favorite person in the world).

today taehyung is going to ask jimin out. today taehyung will go to the cafe, he will order something, and when jimin hands him his drink, he will hold his hand a little longer than usual, and he will look at him in the eye and said, "do you want to eat lunch together sometime?"
so today taehyung wore his best shirt, his nice pants and nice shoes (the one jimin complimented before). he goes to the cafe, order something, and he touched hands with jimin, and he opened his mouth to speak, and jimin smiled. "there's a new sandwich shop down the block, we should go there sometime."
taehyung fumbled with his coffee, mouth open and eyes wide. "okay." he said dumbly, but he doesn't miss the little stars in jimin's eyes when he smiled a little brighter, so taehyung counted that as a win.
