Drunkards barely twenty

I've gotten slightly obsessed with this Scottish drinking song, which I heard years ago at the National Folk Festival. Adorable lyrics, men singing a capella and men with Scottish accents! Be still, my heart.

ETA - I found a version I can embed, but it doesn't have the beautiful spoken introduction in the one I linked to.

Oh wow, this is great!

I miss the Folk Festival. There's one in Cambridge, but it's much more expensive and it's more difficult to get tickets for it.

What folk festival do you go to in Australia? Sorry, we've probably discussed this before, but I can't remember...

I used to go to the National Folk Festival in Canberra quite a bit when I lived there. It was kind of what people in my highschool did. Some of my friends even camped out there, but I would just duck in and out over the course of the Festival and then go home to sleep.

One fantastic year, when I was doing street theatre for Amnesty International (which involved wearing white face masks and headdresses with candles on them) we even did a drumming workshop in full costume, much to the shock of the other participants...
