The Big Read thinks the average adult has only read six of the top 100 books they've printed below.

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicise those you intend to read
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them.

I've read . . . )

I further recommend "A Wrinkle in Time" and "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH."

Both are children's books I devoured when I was a kid, and they are cracking good reads.

Beal out.

I've definitely read "A Wrinkle in Time" - the whole quartet, in fact. Strangely enough, I think "Many Waters" is my favorite of the four.

I didn't actually know that the cartoon movie "The Rats of NIMH" was based on a book. It was one of my favorites growing up so I'll definitely have to pick up the book sometime soon. Does the book also have the character of Jeremy, the Crow? I loved him and his obsession with sparklies.

No, it wasn't Jeremy, was it? It was Jeremiah.
