So LJ is only allowing me to go back fifty entries on my flist, which, that is not even a week. I mean, the earliest thing they are showing me is from May 25th. Bullshit, LJ! I am super behind! Why do you do these things to me

I have to go do something that involves not having access to a computer or my phone for at least an hour after posting a fic, otherwise I'll just constantly refresh my email and fret over the fact that no one has left a comment or kudos yet and it's been up for a WHOLE FIVE MINUTES. It's ridiculous.

I leave kudos all the time without commenting, and I think that's perfectly fine, and WAY better than posting fic on LJ, where if no one leaves a comment you have no idea whether or not anyone liked it. But I have friends who hate kudos and wish they could turn it off, and I have friends who hate COMMENTS and wish they could turn THOSE off, so really we're all just going to be slightly unhappy forever, IDK. Come visit and talk about fandom with me. We can bake more cookies!

tbh I think it's possible I am more excited about hit counts than anything else, which, I know that like fifteen hits can come from the same person just winding up refreshing the tab (FF has crashed like five times this week so I've refreshed a lot) but it makes me happy pretending that each one is an individual person who saw the link to my fic and went, "perhaps I would like to read that!" FEEDBACK IS TERRIFYING IF IT IS NOT FROM PEOPLE I HAVE SOLICITED IT FROM even when it's nice it's kind of like when strangers hug me, especially without telling me they're going to hug me and then waiting a minute first. I feel all weird and kind of warm but also incredibly awkward and I don't know where to put my hands.

I'd love to visit but lbr it'll be a while. PS SOMEONE YOU KNOW IS GETTING A GIANT BOX OF COOKIES (and an octopus mug) FROM ME YOU SHOULD GET IN ON THAT.
