[Today, one might find a small cat around the village. Once in awhile, it will bound after insects or play with a loose rope or peer in a nearby window. It's a pretty nondescript cat, like one of any number of strays that one might find around the village

[The cat stares back. Uh. Er.

Leon's ears flatten back, but he doesn't hiss quite yet. Scared or not, he has enough sense of self to know he can transform.

Or run. He's just not sure what's a better idea at the moment.]

[ Well, can you talk? Or at least understand him. Ish.

Repliku tilts his head, and after a moment, gives a wave. ]

[Huh. That was unexpected.

After a moment's hesitation, Leon takes a step back and transforms into his more human form.]

Er... Hello. Can you talk?

[... A cat.

On her wandering around, this sight catches her attention, so she investigates. Of course, the wings are questionable.

... But she'd really like a cat.]

[Leon is busily sniffing around at a patch of flowers, staring at a honeybee crawling around on a flower. Sometimes it's just ... so relaxing to do nothing but the finer feline things in life.]

[She steadily moves closer, quietly observing him almost in the way that he's observing that honeybee.]

[And when the honeybee moves to fly away, Leon spins around to follow it, hopping in the air and making a motion to swat the bee.

Of course, since it's so small, it manages to evade his paw and fly away anyway.

Dang it. Just another reminder that he wasn't much of a hunter for a cat.]
