Recently, I've read some things concerning 'hidden journals'.
I have such a problem with this.

1. Why have a journal, ONLINE, if you are going to hide it? Get a paper one, or use your word processor.
2. Why does someone feel the need to hide who they are? If you don't want people finding you or knowing your business, don't put it out on front street

On the whole, I totally agree with you. The only caveat I'd have would be if they were being stalked or otherwise harrassed by another LJ user. I have witnessed a lot of people opening up much more quickly online than they do in person, and that sort of rushed intimacy can often get one into trouble.
