About the "moving on" sentiment. I always understood it to mean that if the victim is allowing the event to dominate their lives or thoughts to the extent that it cripples them, they should put effort into dealing with it and, in a sense, moving on from it. Not at all that they are troubling the people around them.

That being said, you clearly have more experience with this than I do, and I WILL KICK ALL THEIR ASSES. How dare they judge you? What the flying FUCK is wrong with them? I'm absolutely speechless. Often, the sentiment of "moving on" is not that the victim is allowing it to cripple them, but that it is affecting the victim at all. People seem to think that abuse should be a non-issue as soon as it is over. It may be a difficult-to-understand distinction.
