Yep, there was some doubt as to whether I’d be able to say that by this point in time. But my first week of teaching at Institute, while rough, was something I survived!

With all the lesson planning and such, I’ve been getting no more than 5 hours of sleep a night, which is the main reason why the week has been hard ( Read more... )

This was really interesting to read (teach for America is something I would love to do in the future). Teaching is absolutely super stressful at first, but I find it becomes pretty comfortable after awhile. Of course, what you're doing is worlds ahead of what I'm doing, in terms of difficulty.

Congrats at getting the age group you wanted. I hope it all goes well for you!

Teaching is very difficult! I tried teaching sixth grade math for just one summer and I had a hard time making them understand. I hope it gets better for you soon.
