Ah, Germany, land of excitement. Why, just today in the space of four hours we were treated to the spectacle of a police car that had rolled over (apparently without external aid) in the middle of a busy intersection, the Museum of Hygiene and an (in the) buff young man ambling into the heart of the town to the apparent notice of few.

As to communal showers - my experience has been that showers for chicks are partitioned off from each other, even when the guy's showers are communal.

Haven't had time to read many of your entries. Finding it's been pretty full on here what with Booksale, CBW, stocktake and catching up etc. Not that I'm not interested 'cause the few i've read are very entertaining. Do agree about walking tour. best way to see anywhere is to walk it.
suppose you are winding up your trip. you may have to recap the best bits when your back with photos.
Carrie just left Spain 0 Madrid, Valencia (tomato festival) and the Granada. Said Granada best place ever and didn't want to leave. Now back in London - working in Wimbledon hopefully. She'e broke now.
