The Difference of a Few Days

Not Bad News
Cory's brain has completely taken over running his body. His lungs are working, his heart is pumping, kidneys are functioning. . .basically he is no longer dependent on anything but himself to stay alive. His brain has decided not to give up ( Read more... ) -
EEG Results
The EEG results from yesterday showed that the part of Cory's brain in charge of vital functions like breathing and heart rate is working. The area in charge of thinking and voluntary functions, basically the part that makes him Cory, shows little to no activity. At this point it's just a matter of waiting to see if his brain can and will repair ( Read more... ) -
Cory Update
The MRI yesterday showed damage from being without oxygen and swelling in his brain. They drilled a hole in his head to insert a monitor to check the pressure in his skull. When they inserted the bolt the pressure was at 40 (normal is around 10), but the act of drilling the hole itself lowered the pressure to 20, which they told us is where they ( Read more... )
