Do you know what the worst part is? After the fiasco I just posted about, all my strong emotion is used up. I know I should feel outraged, and I do - but it's tinny and small. FUCK.

Oh, yes, I'm with you there. There is just SO FUCKING MUCH of this shit, so many variations, all connected, poisoning and destroying lives. And it wears us down. The whole thing with that little boy just... broke me, reading about it and not being able to storm in to the room and hold that teacher accountable, and remembering so many similar incidences in my own life and how that damaged me and how complicit the adults were, and... FUCK. I'm numb these days.

Good gods.

*shakes head*

There are no words. Or rather, there are many words, but most of them are obscenities, so I'll spare you.

At the moment it's really just a string of ARSECUNTS ARSECUNTS ARSECUNTS. I'm trying to figure out how to articulate PLZ TO BE GETTING SOCIAL SKILLS PAST NEANDERTHAL LEVEL without reducing myself to the level of whoever wrote the volunteer manual, but it's difficult.

Ah, fuck it.

PLZ TO BE GETTING SOCIAL SKILLS PAST NEANDERTHAL LEVEL, YOU DOUBTLESS ABLE-BODIED BUTTMONKEY.

I've got to say, if I were an Olympian athlete (I would so totally rock the 'writing copious amounts of fan fiction' event), and I weren't already boycotting this event for some reason, I'd definitely be staying home with my cats after this nonsense.

Disabled people can be unsocial, stubborn, controlling, defensive

Is that information or permission?

Of course disabled people can be unsocial - everyone else is allowed to be so!

Just a thought... ironjawedangel8 May 26 2008, 18:43:21 UTC
I'm as shocked, appalled and outraged as everyone else BUT I'm also slightly wary of whether or not the translation is correct. I'm fluent in more than one language and I've seen more horrendous translation than I care to think about. I know that China generally has very negative attitudes towards people with disabilities, but until I know where the translation came from, I'm slightly wary to take what's in the article completely to heart.
