This is the list of what I read this year, with comments on some. Feel accomplished that I managed to break my reading record (no intention of doing that again though).

* = liked the most
underlined = not owned by me

Pope Benedict XVI - Lent: Walking Towards The Resurrection
Wills - The Food Bible: The Ultimate Reference Book For Food & Your Health (seriously good; a little British, but relevant to anyone)
W. Owen - The Poems Of...

Gallick - The Big Book Of Women Saints (found this very helpful)

Anonymous (Lady Sarashina) - As I Crossed A Bridge Of Dreams: Recollections Of A Woman In 11th-Century Japan (great to compare with Sei Shonagon and Lady Murasaki's diaries - this lady was bit of a wallflower with missed opportunities yet interesting)

P. Smith - Just Kids
Chase (transl.) - Angelic Spirituality: Medieval Perspectives On The Ways Of Angels
Coupland - Generation X: Tales For An Accelerated Culture (a re-read)

Basic Summary: I read books about changing habits, and books about minimalistic lifestyle (not really gonna happen to me, at least not currently). Re-read Dante, this time in English, and the translation made it perhaps one reason why it was easier to read this time. Reading a lot of religious books, it's just my aim to read what I have soon - after that is done, it'll probably be lesser *lol*
Broke my reading record with one book, but it was difficult to reach. I think I'm satisfied with keeping this record (96 books) and not trying for more, unless I find a reason.

The thickest: King - Duma Key (694 pages)
The most slim: Thompson & Maloney - The Game Of Mah Jong Illustrated (29 pages)

20 098 pages, 96 books. Both reading challenge goals accomplished and a record broken with one book (previous record 95 books)

Unfinished Books of the Year:

St Augustine - Kirjeitä Naisille (Letters To Women)(I didn't really get much new out of it, plus awkward situations in later letters made me stop; he certainly had flaws in his leadership *cough*)
Cunneen - In Search Of Mary (I realised rather early that the writer's opinions would keep poking at me too much if I read on, so I gave the book away)

review list: yearly
