I-... I know  that I've been scarce since- since recently. I suppose I just haven't managed to think of the best way to properly apologize. I said and did many things that I-... that I think we all know I didn't mean. And to those who had never met me prior to that event, I'm truly sorry for such a horrible first impression. If I said or did ( Read more... )

Don't worry about it, a lot of us ...weren't ourselves, that week.

[Give her a second before she can work up the nerve to respond.] Yes, so I've gathered. Still, please allow me to apologize for my ghastly behavior, Mr. Harkness.

[A beat.] Only if you let me do the same.

I'm fairly certain I instigated it, so you've nothing to apologize for.

I've been here for a few years, miss. Try not to feel the guilt so heavily, there's no way to block the Animus's influence on us whether we like that fact or not. I'm not saying don't apologize, I always do. And I think it helps all of us to deal with it as it comes.

The only thing we can do for now is keep walking. And do what we can to repair what damage was done.

... I've been effected by these events before, but this was the first time it twisted my personality to the point that I-... that I turned into someone I loathed. It's difficult, and I've been working through it quietly, but I don't know how I'm ever going to look certain people in the eye ever again.

Still, thank you for that. And I'm sorry you've been here so long. I can't believe that I haven't even made it half a year in this place without hating it so violently.

Take your time with it, don't try to push yourself to deal with parts of it before you're ready to.

I've been home once but I came back. ...I'm not surprised. Even if the Animus are as much victims as we are, I hate that they take it out on everyone else. And feel like it is their right to do it. While I hate what they do and the world that makes it possible, I've met some good people here.

I've managed so long by taking the good with the bad. [Though the bad just keeps stacking up.]

Thank you.

I... never really heard of anyone regarding the Animus as victims. Victims of what, precisely?

... I've come across some good here, too. I just wish it wasn't so interspersed with bad.

I wouldn't make anyone pay for it, certainly.

[Oh. Hi new person. Give her a bit to work up the guts to actually respond.]

Y- yes. Do you know much about it?

... don't you find it more difficult to do spellwork without a wand?

[A slight smirk.] Please tell me you will do the baking.

Interesting books, you said? Where did you find them then?

You don't trust the boys to do it right?

They were in an old school that I happened to have been searching in hopes of acquiring a broader library of books.

[Her smirk widens.] I trust Harry to do it. [Sorry, Ron.]

Really? Where is it located?

Harry is fairly handy in the kitchen. [She's not touching the subject of Ron, either.]
