Mental tricks, or, That milestone looks familiar...

So today I'm 43 years old. This seems weird to me, because I realize I've been thinking of myself as 43 years old for some time now-six months at least. I'm not sure what happened to 42, but somehow it just didn't seem like my age. Weird.

I'm listening to the audiobook version of Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. The story plays out in flashback
