And despite my earlier techno-optimism, when it came down to it I ended up with a non-iPhone, non-Android, not-even-a-smartphone-of-any-sort. It's one of the models that **&* offers you for free if you re-up for another two years' contract. Same manufacturer as my old phone, but of course that doesn't mean the old chargers fit it.
