I blame amezri for inadvertently starting what seems a burgeoning obsession with BPAL perfume oils... 6 imps ordered (Aeval, Blood Kiss, Blood Pearl, Depraved, Snake Oil and Ultraviolet) with plenty more on the wish list. Eeeeeeee... come soooooooon!

YAY! :D Snake Oil is lovely -- I want to get a bottle of it. Ultraviolet was not really my favorite, but if you like it, I have an imp I can send your way.

Snake Oil was a last-minute substitution, on strength of the description saying it was a best-seller. Ultraviolet I'm not sure about, either, but I wanted to try something in a bit cooler range than the others, just for contrast...

Ack, sorry. I have been very delinquent with comments lately.

Ultraviolet was a bit too sharp for me, but a lot of people seem to like it well enough.

I just apply straight from the imp or bottle. Either to my hair (it lasts longer) or on my neck.

Hey, no prob. Thanks for the info! I've gotten my first order and been sniff happy, now waiting for order 2 to come in (eep). I'm going to have to spreadsheet this stuff to keep track.

Ultraviolet was not bad. It made me smell like Choward's Violet Mints. Which is a scent I actually quite like, though fairly intense. I think I'm going to try making it into a spray.

Not sure if you're into any of the other scents I mentioned (plus Gluttony, I got it as a freebie. It smelled nice in the imp, but HORRID on me) but I'm probably going to start swapping now that I have a few, and wouldn't mind trading something for your UV.

And yes, Snake Oil drove my boy mad. I hear it ages well, too. Bottle on the way ;)

wait... but how do you use pure perfume oil? do you mix it with a base oil or what?

I was going to try applying scantly first (one drop each on inner arms, neck) and then mixing it with something if it's too strong.

ok, now that I've actually tried this...

There's a little plastic wand connected to the cap on the sample vial, and I've just dabbed it (fairly liberally in a few cases) on my wrists/inner elbow/neck. If it's too strong I dab, then rub unscented lotion over it, which sort of spreads and dilutes the scent!

There are forums at bpal.org which have info on making mixes with other oils for little roller ball applicators or alcohol for sprays. I think I'm going to experiment with both!

I have a HUGE box of both imps and bottles, if you ever want to pop over to my house (above Gregs Dof Grooming next to the Spectrum), to smell them, feel free!

Also, if you ever want to order and combine our orders to cut down on shipping for any reason, i'm game. I need to make an order soon , my BF is out of his favorite oil.

Dear lordy, that C12 stuff is the holy grail on the forum right now! I think I saw someone offer a kidney for Storyville the other day. Are you on the forum at all? I'm bookishgrrl there as well...

At this point I have 4 bottles, with 3 more on the way in pending orders and a healthy double handful of imps. I'm limiting myself to PayPal only at this point, so I can only buy what I save for ;)

J rolls his eyes at hearing me talk non-stop about "that Bip-Oil stuff" this past month. But he sure does like to sniff it when an order or swap package comes in.

What types of scents do you like? What are your favorites?

I'm a total addict ... I tried to get out of it when my imp collection grew to insane proportions, but got back into it once I was settled and had some pretty shelves for the bottles.

Right now, my faves are New Orleans (for the jasmine), Pink Moon (for the sweetness), Incantation (for the pepperyness) and Alecto (just cuz I like it).

I am on the forum, but not all that much. I mod a couple of BPAL comunities and that's more than enough for me!

C12 - I have a bottle of Doc Buzzard on Ebay right now because it just doesn't like me, and I think it's up to $60. I saw a bottle of Storyville go for $200!! It's crazy.
