YES. Damon is such an all-or-nothing person, and probably a perfectionist to boot.
Have been thinking more about this, and how Sad Damon is a Ruiner. He's never content to just hate you; he must RUIN YOUR LIFE, a la Stefan S1. So even when he doesn't care, he cares. #damonfail
