TVD - 4x16 "Bring it On" - stop calling, stop calling, I don't want to think anymore

This episode was terrifying. But also kind of wonderful. But mostly terrifying. And it inspired a lot of unexpected anti-shipper feelings and fantasies in me where Elena just tells eerrrrebody to go screw themselves and steals Damon’s Camaro to go on a cross-country ribbon stealing spree. She will not be denied ribbons any longer, guys!  What, she’ ( Read more... )

It's true. Hospitals don't keep their blood in tubs in the break room, but this is a hospital in Vampire Town, USA. Maybe it's the blood the hospital wants the vampires to feel free to steal ( ... )

I'm pretty sure the Hayley/Klaus happened only so Klaus can finally have sex. Otherwise I'm not entirely sure why Hayley is still around. Can't we kill her now?

She's around because the network loves her and is going to have her on the spin-off show. I liked her in The Secret Circle (the little of it that I saw), but here she just seems to take up screentime.

The further I get away from the episode, the more I find Klaus having sex weird.

I found the whole thing a little underwhelming, but it was the birthmark scene where I got a weird vibe. Klaus just lounging around in bed naked was definitely weird.

Also, why is vampire super speed always a thing during sex scenes? This also makes me feel weird.

THIS: Shall we pelt it with lectures? Shall we reenact my greatest hits? I know, let’s try and use the sire bond BECAUSE THAT’S ALWAYS WORKED OUT SO WELL.”

AND THIS: ...especially since everyone’s sudden and liberal attempts to use it this episode left such a bad taste in my mouth.also, while Damon managed to keep Elena from killing in the beginning of the episode Stefan poisoned her and then killed her. HERO OF THE SHOW ( ... )

Stefan poisoned her and then killed her

Only because he lurves her. He is not controlling at all.

The Caroline explosion was necessary true especially since she's the only one left who should understand but where's the Stefan explosion and the Damon explosion?

I feel like the Damon explosion might be coming next week. The Stefan explosion will come after I save a baby.

I like Haley in theory, but I am eager for her to get off of this show. Klaus, too.

I'm really tired of Damon flashbacks but ELENA GETS A SIGNIFICANT HAIRCUT

IN NEW YORK

I AM SO EXCITED. I've been waiting for this haircut a long time.

Elena just tells eerrrrebody to go screw themselves and steals Damon’s Camaro to go on a cross-country ribbon stealing spree.
A good ending for the show IMO.

Lol… I’m amused by your haterade toward the Salvabros over this episode since I was WAY more filled-with-hatred after the last episode. I may have declared them both dead to me. But this episode actually went a ways to making me forgive them? Well, Damon, at least - whom strangely I think is handling the situation about as well as he can? I SHOULD be steamed about him using the sire bond again, but actually, given the circumstances it was actually the least immoral course of action (Elena had almost just killed that girl on the road and clearly did not care about blowing their cover). And… yeah, I can’t hate the dude when his solution to the episode’s events is ROADTRIP TO NEW YORK. #FORGIVE ME FOR I AM WEAK.

… Stefan is still a failbot but I’ve basically given up on him.

That said, I love how humanity-less Elena is just entirely defined by want, want, WANT. More so than ( ... )

This delayed reply is brought to you by a stupid week.

I think maybe I couldn't properly process my anger from 4x15, and now I am suddenly just overwhelmed a lingering resentment. I still think Damon is rocking the emotional avoidance a little too hard, although that is not OOC, obvs. But I can never stay mad at him for long, and you're right that considering Elena's new no-holds-barred policy toward killing, it was the better option.

Stefan would have to fall on a lot of pointy things repeatedly to make me feel any sympathy for him at this point.

I don’t think she even particularly wanted the ribbon (or the party, or anything else) in itself - she just wanted to prove THAT SHE COULD take and have whatever she wanted, finally. OR Elena has always been obsessed with ribbons but has always ( ... )

I have been listening to Icona Pop quite a bit since last week, and you're right that it's perfect for Elena at the moment. I also like to think that Elena's talking to Stefan when it says "you're so hard to please."

I ship Caroline with everyone, even characters that aren't from this show.
Now I am intrigued!

And they depict him like this incredibly seductive vampire, who's had centuries of practice, and yet he's been celibate for god knows how long in a show where everyone has fucked everyone else.

Maybe all the love letters from the people he has murdered is harshing his game, just a little bit. But it's true that something just does not compute and now at least he has some cred when he's giving caroline flirty pouts in the background.

I secretly want Elena to meet Katherine in NY. They could become this awesome cold-hearted duo and kick ass. Though Katherine would totally stab her in the back eventually.

I would like this too, although I would like Elena to stab Katherine in the back. Twist!

Thanks for the comment!
