just can't say how good this whole passage is. I hadn't really thought about Marian and marriage in the abstract before this (series really just gives her a choice between R&G, I guess much like life would actually have been) but in reading this I realize that it is so right for Marian -- great characterization.
I think we all feel a bit like that sometimes, about men being the axe I mean.
