...that love isn't a vessel that goes empty? That's what this is all about, isn't it? Ennis is seeing Jack's love gone away from him; drained; exhausted? NO! Love doesn't run out... it is rejected, trounced, ignored and avoided.

Dear, Sweet, PERCEPTIVE Carol: You have written some doozy chapters before -- both in OWL and here -- but Never have I read such moving, pertinent intensity within your words!! Your analysis of "Leaves of Grass" allows me to believe that if our Canon E&J had read it [and had it explained to them the way you did!], they probably would be together today!

Oh my heart is breaking. They need to get it together. Maybe finding the article is a way for Jack to understand Ennis' motives. But I reckon Ennis needs to make the first move too and Jack needs but Jack also needs to accept Ennis' skittishness too.

I'm really looking forward to an update. I'll be tapping my fingers till it comes along. :-)
