There is a little restaurant by Gard du Nord that is called Chez Michelle (there are at least two of them in the city but only one of them is good. Trust me, I learned this the hard way). Steingarten called it one of the best joints in town and it is. Incredible food, reasonable price (given incredible food) and low key. Make reservation, of course.
