Just to clarify: I have nothing against Canada, and Heinlein wrote some good stuff. But when I say early Heinlein, I mean the concept-heavy sci-fi around the time of Have Space Suit, Will Travel. I just don't like that block of Heinlein as much as I do Starship Troopers and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. Those are still a little heavy on concept and a little light on character, but they get by.
Thank for writing the book; those bovine gorilla-monkeys kept me turning the pages, and that's the big test.
