New month, new selection!

Sorry for the delay in posting. I went straight from vacation to surgery. What a difference a few days make.

This month's theme is Non-Western Literature, and our selection is The Museum of Innocence by Orhan Pamuk. The easiest way for me to remember the author's name is Downton Abbey, heh.

Do you read a lot of non-western literature? If so, post ( Read more... )

I have the book on hold - there are 9 copies and I'm only #2 on the hold list so I'm hopeful I'll have it soon. It's on the shelf at a couple branches that are inconvenient for me but if it's not ready by Friday I may go to one of them anyway.

I wouldn't say I read a "lot" of non-western literature. I read it when it's available to me but I don't necessarily seek it out.

I've been trying to read at least one non-western book every month (fiction or non-fiction). I'd like to read more but I'd really need to set out a distinct plan ahead of time, which I'm bad at, and with literature especially they're less likely to be available as audiobooks.
