Though I rarely read book reviews, I'm always curious that I see them all the time on LJ. (Aside from bookfails and bookish, which I sometimes peruse.) I'm a bit interested! Especially since joining mdsbookclub.
How many reviews do you post in a week? What kind of books do you read? How much do you critique? Most of all, what do you get out of posting them?
I absolutely agree about book-lovers discussing novels. I've been into it more the past year after taking a discussion class with awesome people. It's rare I get that IRL.
I'll friend the new journal! We seem to have really similar tastes. But don't expect me to write any reviews if I suggest anything; I have always hated book reports. ;)

LOL. No problem. This is strictly for personal enjoyment. I write out stuff for books all the time but don't post it cause I didn't want to mesh it in with this journal.
Any discussion that comes out of sharing it with others is a bonus :)
