You know, beyond simple recognition there is little else that we can do to make our soldiers feel more appreciated. I know that with all of the wars that I fought (I did a few years in the 82nd Airborne) and all of the time I spent elsewhere, the most important thing that anyone ever did for me was to just recognize that I was out there fighting for their freedom.

Yeah, I have been sorta out of the light for a bit. GE decided to block LJ for a while. (They're a bunch of Nazis -- no kidding! The real, card carrying kind, as in "The Nazi Party" type people!)
