Believe it or not, Peter Jackson's latest film is only indirectly responsible for my decision to re-read The Hobbit (again). I always said that anyone who read Tolkien more than once was probably a hobbit short of a fellowship, but it's been almost 20 years for me, so maybe I'll give it another go. That said, I think I'll skip The Hobbit, as I don't remember liking it all that much. LOR on the other hand I liked very much.

The Hobbit is what it is. I still think you might want to give it another go; after all, it's not a long read.
