It's interesting how things can change in almost 45 minutes' time.

Just got off the phone with my cousin Jon. He was calling to see how I was holding up, since my grandma (my dad's mom) died an hour ago.

Nobody had called to let me know. Granted, it was only an hour ago, so I'm not surprised nobody called, but it was an interesting start to the evening.

This makes my dad an orphan, and that makes me really sad.
