She's safe! She called me Saturday morning to tell me everything was OK, but I couldn't catch my cell phone in time to talk to her. Then I spent the rest of the weekend trying to get through -- "We're sorry. All circuits are busy." That can drive a girl nuts. I just finally got hold of her (late for work, naturally...that's my girl!) and she says

Hee to Eunice and the Hamburger Helper. My kids tell scary stories of the class that has replaced domestic science in their schools. Kids were taught basic survival cooking, and I do mean basic. My girls described kids who were so clueless they messed up things like Jello and making hot chocolate with boiling water and a single-serve packet. And one boy ate raw bacon!
