1. Dear writers, when you are given permission to do a two-part, 45-minute episode, please don't make it a fake clip show. kthnx
2. Certain parts of this were really predictable. Especially Barney's proposal. As soon as I saw the box, I went "magic trick to propose to Quinn with." Although I will give the writers credit for the "unemployed" part. I really didn't think Quinn would quit stripping for Barney. Which is going to make it all the more heartbreaking when they inevitably break up, bringing me to...
3. THAT BLESSED FINAL SHOT. I've been waiting about...4 seasons? for that big of a sign. I mean, we knew hoped knew it was probably coming, but it was just wonderful to see it for real. It was really the only part of the episode (aside from the birth of baby Marvin, obviously) that I cared about. The fake clips were meh and seemed like one-liners and gags that the writers had been saving over the years but could never find a place to use.
To end with...no matter what your reaction to that final scene, I guarantee it was not as emotional as
this woman's. Go. Watch. Laugh. :)
