Book #3 "The Red Pyramid"

I'm taking a page out of grav-ity's book and am going to keep track of the books I read from here on out.

Book #1 - "The Eye of the World" by Robert Jordan (first book in "The Wheel of Time" series). It was great, and a Tolkien-level work of art, but it just had too. much. detail. All the descriptions made the book move slowly and it took me a year and a ( Read more... )

Oh, Wheel of Time... LOL

If you think he's wordy in Book One then this might not be the series for you. ;-) The plot basically stops in Book 7. I'm told it's finally picking up again in the last two (a little bit), especially since Sanderson took over the series upon Jordan's death. I'm waiting for the whole thing to be done before even deciding if I'll finish...

On the other hand, Wheel of Time was the very first conversation that Tirzah and I ever had (when she noticed me reading Book Whatever) so I'll always owe it that. :-)
