Dear Yuletide Writer,

Firstly, thankyou for signing up to write in one of my fandoms-of-choice. Sorry it has taken me so long to put this together but I managed to lose my signup list...

Generally I am happy with gen, het or slash, as long as they are canon or canon-plausible. In these fandoms I would prefer nothing explicit, and I find incest really squicky... I rather like angst, especially if things are happily resolved, but something open ended would be just as interesting.

The Fortunate Few is a book I recently rediscovered, having been fascinated by it as a teenager. I would love to find out how things were resolved after the book finished, and how the characters carried on from that point.

I have just reread 'The Saturdays' and am very fond of the Melendy Quartet generally. I would love something gen - no Mark/Rush slash for me, thanks. I would particularly like to see Mona when she is living in New York and working on her serial, but anything would make me happy. Something seasonal would be particularly lovely.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is one of my all time favourite books, and the way it finished was so happy and hopeful. The family successful, Francie off to college...I was never quite certain about Ben, but I am willing to be convinced (the man needs to show a little vulnerability). How does Francie feel when she reaches Ann Arbor? What is it like returning home after her first semester? How are Neely and the others getting on back in Brooklyn?

Feel free to run with any of my thoughts, or to go with your own ideas. I know I shall be thrilled to bits to read the story, and thank you for all of your time and effort.

Sarah
